This page explains how to delete a wdrobe account and what happens to the data on it. What the app collects in the first place is set out in the wdrobe privacy policy.
Deleting your account from the app
Open the app and go to Profile, then Profile information, then Delete account. A verification code is sent to the email address on the account, and entering that code completes the deletion.
Deletion takes effect at once. There is no waiting period and no way to restore the account afterwards.
What is deleted
- Every photo uploaded to the account: the profile photo, the body photos used for try-on, and the originals they were processed from.
- The photos and result cards produced by colour analysis and body shape analysis.
- Wardrobe item photos, both the originals and the cut-out versions.
- Outfits created on the account, which are deactivated and no longer appear anywhere in the app.
- Name, username, date of birth, gender, body type, fit and style preferences.
- Saved locations, device records and notification tokens.
- IP addresses recorded against the account's activity and history.
What is kept, and why
The email address, and for Apple sign-in the identifier Apple provides, are kept after deletion. They are held for one purpose, to stop the same account being created again, and are not used for anything else.
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, not by us. Subscription and payment records sit with the store the purchase was made through, under that store's own policy. Deleting a wdrobe account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first, or billing continues.
If you cannot open the app
Write to info@anemotech.com from the email address on the account and ask for the account to be deleted. The request is checked against that address before anything is deleted, so a request sent from another address cannot be acted on.
